Emerging Applications of Electrospun Nanofibers Using Various Fabrication Techniques

Abstract: Nanofibers are fibers having nanometric diameters, made from a variety of polymeric materials, generally developed using electrospinning methods. It can incorporate multiple drugs, such as proteins, peptides, antibodies, and small molecules, either loaded inside or adhered to the surface. They offer enormous potential in biomedical field, including drug delivery, regenerative medicine, stent coating, implants, controlled release. The application nanofibers tissue regeneration have attracted lot interest due their distinctive composition structural characteristics. nanofiber technology has also gained attention for wound healing, considering most conventional dressings problems drawbacks include infection, irritation, pain, weak adhesive properties. This review highlights major properties nanofibers, fabrication techniques, novel delivery approaches electro spun release applications, various other applications medical healthcare field. importance Quality by Design (QbD) principles production recent clinical trials conducted, patents filed field product were discussed.
